The body of an Iraqi civilian killed during the battle for Baghdad Highway Bridge is covered with flies April 7, 2003. This photograph is part of a sequence taken during three days when the 3rd Battalion attacked and captured the Diwanya Bridge, also known as the Baghdad Highway Bridge, prior to driving into Baghdad and pulling down the statue of Saddam Hussein outside the Palestine Hotel.
